This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use our website and services. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we act as the Data Fiduciary for this data. We apply this policy with the Act and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 in mind, and their obligations apply as they come into force in phases.
2. Personal data we collect
We never ask for your passwords to LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed or other platforms. Please don't share them with us.
- Contact details: full name, email address and mobile number.
- Age confirmation: that you are 18 or older.
- Education: highest qualification and year of passing.
- Employment and experience: experience level, current and target roles, current and target domains, and career gap duration.
- Resume and profile information, including LinkedIn, Naukri and Indeed profile links, when you share them with our team. The website doesn't offer resume uploads at present.
- Consultation and enquiry details: preferred slots, preferred contact times, courses of interest and your questions.
- Verification data: the fact and time you verified your email with a one-time code, for example to download a course brochure. Codes expire after 10 minutes, and are kept only in protected form until they're removed. Mobile OTP isn't in use at present.
- Account data: login details for MYP staff now, and for candidates when candidate registration and login become available. Passwords are stored by our authentication provider in protected form.
- Course registration and payment records: what you bought, payment status, invoices and refunds. We don't store card numbers or UPI credentials.
- Service records: notes by our team, stage of your enquiry, assessments, mock interview feedback and applications we help coordinate.
- Consent records: what you agreed to, and when.
- Technical data: a one-way hash derived from your connection, used to limit abuse of our forms. We don't store your IP address for this purpose.
3. Why we use your data
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange your consultation.
- To assess your profile and recommend suitable training, packages or Pay After Placement.
- To match your profile with relevant job opportunities.
- To deliver the services you've chosen, including training, mentorship, resume and profile support, mock interviews and placement assistance.
- To process payments, issue invoices and handle refunds.
- To send service messages about your request or services.
- To send WhatsApp messages and marketing only where you've given that separate consent.
- To keep our services secure, prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.
4. Consent and withdrawal
We rely on your consent, and on other grounds the law permits. Our Consent Notice sets out each purpose. Optional consents are separate and are never ticked in advance.
You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting our Grievance Officer. It's as easy to withdraw as it was to give. Withdrawal doesn't affect processing already done, and we may be unable to continue a service that depends on it.
7. Where your data is kept
Our main database is in Mumbai, India. Some service providers may process data outside India, subject to any restrictions the Government of India notifies.
8. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as the law requires. Tax and invoice records are kept for the legally required period, even after a deletion request. We keep a record of consent to show what you agreed to.
We keep these records for these periods, unless the law requires longer or you validly ask us to erase them sooner:
- Enquiries, consultation requests and verified brochure requests that don't lead to a service: one year after our last contact with you.
- Brochure requests whose email was never verified: removed after about a day.
- Candidate records and resumes: three years after your service ends, in case of questions or disputes.
- Invoices, payment and refund records: at least six years, or longer where tax law requires.
- Consent records: as long as we need to show what you agreed to, in anonymized form once your other data is erased.
9. How we protect your data
No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs, we'll notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
- Encrypted connections to our website.
- Access controls, so staff see only what their role allows, and experts see only assigned candidates.
- Row level security in our database.
- Logs of staff changes, which contain no candidate details.
- Rate limits on public forms.
11. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can do the following. To make a request, including deleting an account or your data, contact our Grievance Officer. We may need to confirm your identity first.
- Ask for a summary of your personal data and how it's processed.
- Ask us to correct, complete, update or erase your data.
- Withdraw consent.
- Raise a grievance with us.
- Nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated.
- Approach the Data Protection Board of India if your grievance isn't resolved.
12. Children
Our services are for people aged 18 or older. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, please contact us so that we can delete it.
